Chip has been either in front of a camera or behind a microphone for well over 30 years here in the Tennessee Valley. He anchored mornings and noon at WDEF-TV 12 from the late 1980's until the summer of 2004, and is excited to be back on News 12 This Morning helping viewers prepare for the day ahead.

"Being welcomed into a viewer's home is an honor and a privilege, and earning that viewer's trust and respect is paramount", Chip said in a recent interview.

He looks forward to helping News 12 This Morning viewers and their families get ready for their daily activities, and promises to bring the Tennessee Valley's most accurate forecast to them in a fresh, exciting, and dynamic way.

Chip has always been very community oriented, having served on the boards of over a dozen local charities. He comes back to the News 12 team dedicated to making mornings a little easier and a lot more fun!

In his spare time, Chip enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with his wife, Lynn, and their two dogs. If you've got an idea or simply want to say hello, please email him at
