Bonus Video: The UGA VI Memorial Service
We should all get a sendoff like UGA VI.
After his death on Friday, the ultimate Bulldog was flown from Savannah (his home) to Athens on a University jet.
He was escorted in his Dog Carrier by honorary pallbearers, his handler and the University Groundskeeper, while "The Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation" played over the Stadium speakers.
His jersey was draped over his carrier.
Then dignitaries spoke over him.
University President Michael Adams told mourners why this Uga meant so much to Georgia.
Then the Reverend Claude McBride, a former team chaplin, offered a prayer.
UGA VI was laid to rest among his forebearers in a special memorial at the University.
After the ceremony, his owner, Frank "Sonny" Seiler, had a few thoughts about his champion bulldog.
You can see Rick Nyman's story on UGA's passing here.
