Former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes Wants Old Job Back
Georgia voters ousted him from office 7 years ago, now former Governor Roy Barnes says he wants his old job back.
Barnes, who previously served just one term, made the announcement surrounded by family at a news conference Wednesday in Marietta.
The Democrat says he wants to improve education and transportation and says he's learned from past mistakes.
Barnes is a 61-year-old lawyer -- and expected to become the early front-runner for the Democratic nomination.
He lost re-election in 2002 to current Republican Governor Sonny Perdue.
