Hamilton County Democrats In Denver: Day 1
Five of the 4,235 delegates eligible to cast votes at the Democratic National Convention come from Hamilton County.
After months of work overseeing the Obama campaign locally, Justin Wilkins made the trip to Denver to meet the movers and shakers in the Democratic Party.
Wilkins tells me he's already met many people new to the political process. He says they seem to be willing and eager to work for change.
After talking with one of Al Gore's top handlers, Wilkins says he'll be doing more than just listening to speeches this week. "I was asking him that, I told him I'd never been to one of these before and wasn't sure what to expect and he said go to these meetings and workshops, as a delegate you've got an opportunity to tell your story and what you want to see your political leaders do."
Back here at home, Obama supporters will host more than a dozen convention watch parties this week, many on Tuesday and Thursday night.
