People Would Lie About Big Foot ?!?

What is it about Big Foot reports that entertain us so.

When reports came out of Georgia that two goobers had found a creature in the mountins, you just knew something was up.

But we followed the story anyway to it's logical conclusion.... they really just had a Big Foot suit frozen in a tub.

Yes, those guys who held the press conference last week, stared into the cameras and lied!

It really happens.

So, today, I'm focusing on the aftermath.

First, the True Believers.

I got a laugh from this interview with Big Foot researchers in Indiana, who say the hoax was "heartbreaking."

Really?

Here are some hints that this was all a load of bull:

1.  The Georgia Mountains?  They're not that high & they're not that remote.  They are teeming with rednecks on ATVs and Atlanta suburbanites looking for clean air.   Just where could he have hidden out all these years.  Even Eric Rudolph was spotted eventually, and he blended in alot better than a giant, hairy creature.

2.  The DNA evidence.  If I got a gun and shot the Governor today, Georgia wouldn't get my DNA tests back before the next Olympics.  But these guys can snap their fingers and get conclusive evidence!  It's no accident that CBS passed on CSI Atlanta.

3.  The Ape Suit.  We've got a more convincing costume  up in our attic here at News 12.  It's an Alf suit, used to promote the show back in the 80s.  But you don't see us sticking it in a tub of ice with an intern inside!

So what has happened to our Good Old Boys who made this story up?

One is still laughing about it.

But the other has lost his job.

It seems his boss didn't think it was appropriate for a police officer to get caught lying to the public (I emphasize the word "caught").

But now this joke seems to be headed for court.

A group called Searching For Bigfoot, Inc. in California claims they paid the duo $50,000 for rights to their story.

But the Georgia boys say Searching founder Tom Biscardi was in on it from the beginning, and they say they can prove it.

Biscardi has been involved in Big Foot hoaxes before.

You didn't really believe any of these people, did you?
