There's A New Dog in Georgia: UGA 7 Assumes the Throne

Forget the approaching hurricane.

Forget falling out of the Number One ranking.

You can even forget the upcoming election.

All is right in Georgia this week.

That's because UGA 7 has assumed his throne.

The dog nation now has a new Dog prowling the sidelines at the University of Georgia.

Sure, you'll remember your graduation.. your wedding.. the birth of a child.

But right up there is the pomp and circumstance of crowning a new mascot for the university before Saturday's game.

You've got the school's marching band serenading him, the university president presenting you with an official collar, and 92-thousand fans barking at you!

Says President Michael Adams about his own position "It's a job where you are always second to a dog."
