Drew is like Jamarcus Russell, who only seems to do it only for the paycheck with no intent of improving or caring. Drew was only picked up because of his name. Mario Lopez and John O'Hurley tried out for TPIR and Drew never auditioned. He was chosen like an animation movie that must have celebrity voices over talent.
I know no one can be bob, but he does not seem to understand what a gameshow host must present or portray. He never explains games in a brief clear, physical or demanding way, he tends to mumble and seems to not know the games (he actually lifted the shell on shell game. He also couldn't keep the running gag of range game going because he does not know what he is doing or saying). If i were a blind fan of tpir, I wouldn't understand whats going on. He tends to rely strictly on visuals and not read out numbers to be picked or revealed.
He needs to act more like a host instead of acting like a contestant himself. He fondles with a lot of prop items like a monkey seeing it for the first time and makes unnecessary personal comments on prices seeming higher than expected. He also seems to forget where the camera is at. When a door opens on door 2 for something like wrong price or most expensive, he walks or swings his body into the prize shot.
What I hate more than anything is he brings very little excitement or temptaion when it is time to reveal a price to the prize, notably half off. He does not tempt them or even fuck with them to build up the excitement. he says "1,2,3" so fast, they dont know its coming. He has them say that stupid "alacazam".
Also whatever happened to "here is the star" to "here is your host".
