
Southern Pecan Pie

Mrs. Dee Parker sent in this delicious recipe for a Southern Pecan Pie

Southern Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 1/4 cups Karo Syrup (dark or light)
1 1/2 cups broken pecans
1 cup sugar
4 tbls butter
1 tsp vanilla
Boil sugar and syrup together 2-3 minutes then add butter.
Beat eggs add vanilla and while beating pour in slowly the hot syrup. Add pecans, broken rather coarsely. Pour into a raw pie shell and bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) about 45 minutes.
