There is not anything worse
There is not anything worse than to see a child slip through the system due to the laziness of their parents. When a child is living at home and is under the care of their parents there is no excuse for missing school. How can we expect our children to learn responsibility and positive ethics if we don't teach them at home? School is the first responsibility our children have. If we allow them to blow off their academics they will never learn how important it is to do their very best. If a student does not learn how important grades K-12 are, how can we expect them to strive for college? Does anyone disagree that college is not important for a better future? Parents need to be held responsible for allowing their children to fail, especially when it can so easily be avoided.
