I just heard on the news that the IRS has sent out some 15,000 or so stimulus checks, to the wrong people/bank accounts............no surprise to me.not only have we not received our stimulus check(the last 2 digits of the SS# are 18)............But from 1997-2006 we were not allowed the EIC, although we had a child, our income was never above $35,000.00 combined, I worked mostly part time........For literally years, we'd file a return, and they'd send us a bill, they garnished, took bank accounts, placed Tax liens........you name it, all the while I was "screaming" you have made a mistake........do you know when the IRS finally owned there "screw up", Dec. 2007.......they realized they owed us money, and quite a bit..and it was only by some grace of God I finally got someone on the phone who wasn't a "moron".........in 1997 my daughter, same "computer glitch thing I guess" was deleted....and I spent the month of January proving not only that she existed, but that she lived with us. My daughter is 19, almost 20, so I needed her written permission to access her cum. file......oh the hoops I've had to jump through.....and it's still not over........you see folks, when you owe the IRS.......they get there's, or they get you....but when they owe you, or when they make a mistake, hell will freeze over before you get what is yours, and they're not even nice about it.
