Gov. Sonny Perdue Kills Tax Hike Rise in Georgia
Submitted by WDEF on June 2, 2008 - 7:22pm. News | Gas Gauge
After Hurricane Katrina.. Georgia's Governor made national headlines by suspending the state gas tax to keep prices in line. A few weeks ago Governor Perdue said the state couldn't afford to do that again this year. But on Monday, he did give drivers, farmers and fliers a small price break. The move will save us about three cents a gallon in taxes beginning July 1st.
