I spent over 40 yrs. in the public power industry and this is the latest(and most idiotic) effort by treehuggers and bored (ex) politicians to stay in the news and public eye. We must now endure thanks to a media that jumps at every chance to strike fear into the heart of the average person. We had the same effort a few years back trying to link the electro- magnetic fields around transmission lines to cancer in humans which was eventually exposed as the false histeria it was.Then came the Y2K debacle with the same hype from the same people, some of which claimed to have invented the internet. I am convinced Al Gore has enough sense to get off the train he has created before the wreck. If not, he deserves whatever comes from it.
