Groundbreaking At New First Baptist Cleveland Building
Submitted by WDEF News 12 on August 17, 2008 - 6:17pm. News | Community | Bradley County News Members of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland break ground for a new facility Sunday.
The church was founded over a 150 years ago.
In that time the church has relocated 3 times in the downtown area.
Now a new 23 million dollar facility will be built on Stuart Road.
It will house a 14-hundred seat worship center, playground, pre-school, and Sunday school rooms.
When all is said and done, the total build out will be 250-thousand square feet.
Phase one of the project should take about 21 months to complete.
