The first plane hit the world trade center while the morning network news programs were still on the air.
They never went off that day.
All the network and cable news outlets ran round the clock coverage.
Here are WDEF, we got cutaway time during our regular news time in the early evening.
Here is the cut-in at 6:00 PM, broken into 3 parts for you.
The first part is a live wrapup from New York and Washington D. C.
The second part has local reaction from people watching the Twin Towers fall, along with the gas rush at the pumps and people lining up to donate blood.
Part 3 deals with the shutdown at the airport & special prayer services called across the city that night.
