The same line of storms that spun off tornadoes in Murfreesboro hit the Tennessee Valley this afternoon.
It brought down trees all across our area.. pelted us with hail and left several homes in the dark.
And we have reports of possible tornado touchdowns in DeKalb County, Dunlap and Riceville.
Here is our coverage in the 6:00 Newscast.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Emergency officials for the state of
Tennessee say a reported tornado has killed two people and injured
30 in the central part of the state.
Dispatchers at the Rutherford County Emergency Management Agency
say the area has been "heavily impacted" after several eyewitness
reports of a tornado on the ground at about midday.
A line of storms killed three people a day earlier in western
Arkansas and then crept into the South.
Elsewhere, a tornado touched down in southwestern Kentucky,
injuring two people and destroying a mobile home.
