
Where the Tornadoes Hit Here in the Tennessee Valley on Good Friday and How Hard They Hit

Parts of our area are still cleaning up from the Good Friday storm damage.
We now know at least four tornadoes touched down somewhere in the Tennessee Valley Friday.
The biggest ran through a couple counties in northeast Alabama.
It started in northern Marshall county.. Crossed the Tennessee River and hit southeastern Jackson county near Langston.
The twister apparently jumped Sand Mountain and hit Section Alabama.
And the last strike came near the town of Powell.
The powerful E-F-3 storm damaged dozens of homes and caused several minor injuries.
Here is the latest information on the other tornado strikes in our area.
Weather authorities say a pair of E-F- 2 tornadoes hit Dunlap, Tennessee and Summerville, Georgia.
Monday afternoon.. They confirmed an E-F-1 hit in the Sale Creek area.
They are evaluating the Calhoun-Riceville area right now.
