**A Code Orange Air Quality Alert is in effect for Bradley, Hamilton, Marion, Meigs and Sequatchie Counties in Tennessee.**
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation has issued a Code Orange Action Day for the Chattanooga area for Tuesday June 2nd.
An Air Quality Action Day means that ground level ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
A Code Orange Air Quality Category means that members of sensitive groups may experience health effects. This means they are likely to be affected at lower levels than the general public.
