john curtis coats shooting in fort oglethorpe

I am sorry for the officer who was shot. Also i believe that the situation should have been approached from a diffrent perspective, Police (walker county) had talked to Mr. Coats parents the previous night, and knew where to locate him the following day. They knew his state of mind and should have been more willing to try to approach Mr. Coats outside his vehicle. They had followed him from a private clinic in Rossville, and should have tried to apprehend him in the time he was outside his vehicle . Surely 2 experinced police officers could have taken him correctly with the tazer, out in the open, instead of trying to pull him from his vehicle and missing with one. Aso if he was considered so dangerous, why was he approached in such a manner. I respect the job that the officers are faced with everyday, but they make mistakes like everyone and i believe if handled diffrently Mr. Coats would still be alive today.
