In northeast Alabama.. A close call for a star football player.
Nathan Coker was driving home Friday night after a jamboree game was called off because of weather.
He is the starting quarterback for Collinsville this year.
But he spun out on the slick interstate and wrecked.
His father says Coker suffered a fractured vertebrae along with other injuries.
Luckily, he doesn't have any paralysis.. But his football season is over.
