After nearly 60 years missing in action...there are not many who remember Lewis Grant Brickell.
But those who do, were joined by fellow soldiers as the remains of the young army sergeant were buried at the National Cemetery on Friday.
Sgt. Brickell was listed as missing in September of 1950 at the height of the Korean War.
His remains were finally found in a make-shift grave a few weeks ago .
North Korean troops executed Brickell and 4 members of his unit.
His sister, Barbara Hobbs of East Ridge remembers that call from Washington.
Barbara Hobbs\SFC. Brickell's Sister
"she said, Barbara are you sitting down?...we found your brother ..I was thrilled to death ..It's so bittersweet I just wished it had been in my mother's time..but it wasn't meant to be."
Sgt. Brickell died in Korea just a few days short of his 19th birthday.
