Bradley Co. Sheriff's Office Needs Help Figuring Out How Man Got Massive Head Wounds

Bradley County Investigators have a mystery on their hands.

And they're asking for your help.

Wednesday morning a neighbor found 19 year old Timothy Wayne Farmer with massive head wounds.

He was flown to Erlanger.

Now detectives try to figure out what happened to him.

Margie Brown Neighbor, "It was kind frightening."

The signs from a disturbing discovery stain this back yard in the 7500 block of Eureka Road.

Brown, "It's been, always been real quiet and nice neighborhood. Never had no problems."

But early Wednesday morning Margie Brown and her neighbors woke up to commotion outside their doors.

Brown, "I heard the sirens coming in and then I got up went on my front porch to see what was coming along.I saw the ambulances and the fire trucks and then the cop cars."

They converged on Larry Hooper's farm.

He tells us off camera he saw a man holding onto his fence.

He recalls one of the man's eyes appeared to be badly damaged, his head looked like it was fractured in three places and his brain seemed to be swollen.

Bob Gault, Bradley Co. Sheriff's Office, "He did have head injuries. He was bleeding from the head area when he was found. He was unresponsive."

Bradley County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Bob Gault identified the man as 19 years old Timothy Farmer.

He was flown to Erlanger.

As doctors try to save him, detectives work to solve the mystery of how he got hurt.

Gault, "The injuries were consistent with several different types of injuries one of those would be from an assault but at this point determination has not been made as to how the injuries were inflicted."

Farmer turned up across the street from his home at the corner of Glensara Drive and Eureka Road, right next door to Margie Brown.

Brown, "I don't know what to think."

Bradley Investigators want to recreate the 24 hours leading up to the attack on Timothy Farmer.

They're asking any one who spoke to him or saw him to call the Sheriff's Office.
