Rodney Waters lost his plow horse
Mr. Waters lost his plow horse when his lackey, former County Commissioner Bill Clark was voted out of office. Mr. Clark previously torpedoed a joint venture with the YMCA and Erlanger by ignoring the advice of Catoosa County attorney's on the tax exempt status of such a venture and used thousands of dollars of his discretionary tax payer funds to hire an outside attorney to give a different opinion. This was done when no single YMCA in the country was paying property tax. The tax question delayed the construction of a five million dollar YMCA that would have received no taxpayer funds. During the almost two year delay the economy tanked and once it was not shockingly determined the YMCA was in fact tax exempt they were in no shape to go into such a venture. Score one for Mr. Clark and Mr. Waters.
The old boy network is slowly dissolving in Catoosa County and Mr. Waters is not guaranteed a monopoly on anything. Maybe he should have done a better job in helping Mr. Clark get reelected. They've both already done enough to harm the citizens of this county and Mr. Waters seems hell bent and keeping any competition out of Catoosa county by any means necessary.
