What causes someone to pick up a can of spray paint and damage a dozen signs in two neighborhoods?
     What about attacking a church?
     That's what people in Dade county are wondering tonight while two people spend  New Years Eve in jail.
     Even more baffling..its the second time this year that this married couple face vandalism charges.
     WDEF news 12's Abena Williams has more.

JIM HOLLOWAY, G-M TRENTON GOLF CLUB: "I don't think people like that understand ...It's not funny to us."

Dade county officers received numerous reports of vandalism on Thursday...and by last night two people had been arrested and charged.
Twenty three year old Brian Christopher Daniel...and his 22 year old wife, Kerry Anne Daniel face charges related to spray-painted graffitti along Byrd's Chapel Road and into Middleton Estates.  

The question is: why?

DET. SGT. ADAM REYES, DADE CO. SHERIFF'S DEPT.:  "don't really know...they're both in their early 20's..I don't really know other than just thinking it was fun."

It's not the first time the Dade county couple have been tied vandalism. Detective Reyes said the Daniels were arrested for doing the same thing in August of this year.  But this time, they may have stepped over the line. They are charged with  defacing this  church sign.

DET. REYES: "vandalism to A church is a felony...and damage to some property in the 2nd degree is also a felony."

JIM HOLLOWAY, G-M TRENTONGOLF CLUB: "I wold think they really don't understand what it takes to pay for some of this stuff..the main thing. It takes our time to go clean it up."

DET. REYES:  "it's a good thing it worked out in the long-run and we know who did it."
