Are you kidding me!
What is this world coming to! Next thing you know we're going to start giving inanimate objects rights! Since when are animals held in the same esteem as human beings, the superior species. Those of you saying he should be tortured or believe the punishment is fitting for the crime must be vegans because if you had any idea what is done to the animals that are used for our consumption and for animal by-products then the whole world would have to be tortured and jailed according to your radical standards. Granted I love dogs. They are my favorite animals, yet I would never hold it to human standards like it is my child. It's a dog!!! There are murderers, rapists and child molesters who get off easier than Michael Vick. What does that say about our justice system? They're just using him as an example and it's really sad. Yes he was wrong, but the punishment is not fitting for the crime. The day a dog acts like a human is the day a dog should be given the same rights as a human.
