From the Archives
Collins, I'm a photojournalist for KPNX-TV in Phoenix. I somehow found your "From the Archives" pieces. I'm always happy when I see a station showing video from the past.
For the past four years, I've been producing a similar franchise for my station. We call it the "Basement Tapes." Yes, our old 3/4 inch archive is literally in our basement. My "Basement Tapes" segment runs every Sunday. I find a story every week from 25 years ago to the month. So this month all my stories are from December, 1982.
Take a peek at our old stories at:
http://www.azcentral.com/video/video_index.html
Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the "Basement Tapes" banner. I try to post a "new" story every week.
Keep up your good work on keeping the past alive...and I'll check back often.
