Juanita Bynum and Thomas Weeks
I just finished reading Bishop's book "What Love Has Taught Me. I thought it was going to be a bashing book about Juanita Bynum. I was presently surprised. The book was in some ways very complimentary to Juanita and also shed some negative things about Bishop about his life and his marriage. I believe that a marriage is sacred and is between the two people and God. Prior to any of this happening, I went to Women on the Front Line for the first time of August of last year. I have always been familiar with Juanita's ministry, but this was my first time being upclose with it. Me and my sisters were amazed at all the things she said she was doing, skin care line, body line, television, music companies. Our thoughts were how in the world can she sustain a marriage and do all of this? I am not advocating for one minute violence or hitting no matter how bad a marriage is. I do believe that the problems in their marriage could have been resolved between them with both submitting to the God they serve and a few spiritual advisors. Everyone else should have been kept out of it, including the media circus that was pulled in by Juanita. I would encourage everyone to read Bishops' story. Again mainly just pray for both of them. The same God that they preach to us that will help us to be victoriously is the same God that should be allowed to help them. God is no respector of persons. Anybody can get off track (Apostles, Bishops, Evangelists..) No one will ever really know the real story (except them and God). In these type of situations, it is best to pray for God to heal the land, and not let their testimony set a precedence of God in our lives.
