Neighbors say a home on Albert Lane has been abandoned for months.
The yard is overgrown.
The back door has been kicked in, and kids keep breaking in.
George Love lives nearby.
"I wouldn't want my kids to go anywhere near the house. Nails sticking up, snakes, bees, and it's unsafe to even go into the house."
We found out that something will be done with the property owned by Sun Trust Bank.
The city has gotten approval from a Judge to mow the yard.
That should be done by August 17th.
And city officials will go to court again to do something about the open door on the property.
But the whole process takes time.
Chief Code Enforcement Inspector Donna Thomas says it can take 60 days.
"We normally handle about
8-thousand complaints through 3-1-1 every year, and much of that during the summer time at least is overgrowth. The city, of course, because there are so many addresses that we do take care of, the city is only able to maybe mow the lawn 2 or 3 times a year. So, it won't be mowed on a weekly basis."
