Some Bradley county residents get a helping hand with Christmas.
That's thanks to the Angel Tree Program.
The Salvation Army distributed gifts in Cleveland for most of the day.
Workers and volunteers handed out gifts in Chattanooga on Tuesday.
This year, the Angel Tree program will help more than 47-hundred people have a Merry Christmas.
Natalie Calfee is a student at Tennessee Christian Preparatory School.
She volunteered to hand out presents.
"Well, this started 3 years ago. It was our first time doing this and the first year it was so much fun, we loved doing it. So every year, we've just wanted to come back and be able to serve."
The need for help this year is 39 percent higher than it was just 3 years ago.
