Body Found In Tennessee River
MARION COUNTY, Tennessee -(WDEF) According to various published reports,the body found floating in the Tennessee river next to Raccoon Mountain has been identified as Army Specialist Bradley Rogers. He was reported missing earlier this month.
Rogers recently returned home from serving overseas.
He was last seen alive at the Electric Cowboy on Brainerd Road and hasn't been heard from since.
Saturday around 3pm, his floating body was discovered by fisherman as it reportedly bumped into their boat near the TVA boat ramp.
The Marion County Sheriff office says the investigation is ongoing and too early to determine if the death is the result of an accident or foul play.
The body was taken to Nashville where an autopsy will reveal cause of death.
Several published reports have confirmed the identity of the body based on conversations with family members.
The Marion County Sheriff's office says it's withholding that confirmation pending the autopsy.
