(WDEF) The Office of the Secretary of Defense, Employer Support Of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recognized Chief Bobby H. Dodd and other local employers as a Patriotic Employer for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Forces.
      The honor occurred this past Thursday.
      Chief Dodd was presented with a plaque and is pictured with Major General Robert A Harris and Carl Lambert. Major General Harris serves as the Assistant Adjutant General-Army, Tennessee National Guard and Carl Lambert is the Tennessee ESGR Chairman.
      The ESGR is an agency within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Defense for Reserve Affairs. It was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between reserve component members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts that may arise from an employees’ military commitment.
