Founders and supporters of Chattanooga Whiskey celebrated the recent passing of the whiskey distillery bill tonight.
Around 5,000 guests RSVPed for a night of music, beer, and of course...whiskey.
Governor Bill Haslam signed a bill altering the state's liquor distillery laws.
That provided a path for Chattanooga Whiskey to begin.
Co-founder Joe Ledbetter says it's nice to celebrate with all of his supporters.
"It feels very natural I think. I feel like Chattanooga and a lot of our whiskey friends have become family in a lot of ways.  So I'm looking around at a lot of people I've Facebooked or tweeted or seen at our launch party and feels good," Ledbetter said.
The Distillery hopes to be up and running by Spring of next year.
It will also act as a live music venue.
