Chickamauga House Fire Ruled Arson

(WDEF)  Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens’ office ruled a fire that destroyed a home Tuesday in Walker County arson.
        The fire occurred around 4:00am at 238 Myers Road in Chickamauga.
        It caused about $50,000 in damages.
        No injuries were reported.
        “There was extensive damage caused by this fire, and we have determined that it was intentional set,” Commissioner Hudgens said. “The structure was under renovation and unoccupied.”
        Commissioner Hudgens asks anyone with information about this fire to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.
        A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the arsonist.
