This is the first year for the Christmas at Coolidge event put on by the Parks and Recreation Department.
Kids got to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, enjoying free carousel rides, and of course Santa was there visiting with kids.
It all wrapped up with a firework show.
"We've invited families and we've also invited numerous community center participants as well.  We've got over 200 youth that are participating from out centers and many seeing Santa for the first time and Coolidge Park for the first time and fireworks and The Grinch for the first time," said Chattanooga Parks and Recreations Public Relations Coordinator Brian Smith.
Organizers say they hope to have the event every year.
