Police say it started when authorities responded to a disturbance call at a home on Prospect Church Road.
Collegedale police tell us Rueben Braden fled from them on foot.
Detective Kat Cooper said when they found him, he became belligerent, and began threatening police.
"He did threaten to shoot police officers at that point we called in other agencies to assist with us. Including Collegedale SORT team to ensure no further threats were made," said Cooper.
That's when Braden barricaded himself in his home with his mother inside.
Police confirm someone fired one shot at police from Braden's home during the stand off.
