The two Chattanooga Police Officers accused of using excessive force could be back on the job soon. And that has the Concerned Citizens for Justice demanding an immediate appeal of the judge's order.

Janelle Jackson, Concerned Citizens for Justice said, "The main reason is public safety. Our communities are not safe with police officers that are comfortable with brutalizing citizens." The Concerned Citizens for Justice are outraged that the firing of former Officers Emmer and Cooley has been overturned by Administrative Judge Kim Summers. Jared Story, Concerned Citizens for Justice said, "It sent a very clear message that black lives don't matter. I'm here to say that they matter and that there are a lot of folks in this community, black, white, multi racial outrage about this decision."

The NAACP also responded to the Officers verdict and released this: "We are equally saddened and disturbed by what we view as a narrow and limited ruling on behalf of administrative Judge Summers." Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke tells News 12 he's "extremely disappointed by the Judge's ruling" and plans to discuss the issue with the City Attorney. Jackson went on to say, "We agree with Mayor Berke's statement. We just want to make sure that actually the statement turns into action and we want to see the appeal filed. That's what we are looking for."

Attorney's Bryan Hoss and Stevie Philips represent Emmer. They think that both officers responded to a dangerous situation and its a very fair outcome. Hoss said, "If you were to look more than just the video tape. There are other pieces of evidence. Theres other witnesses that you can not capture what happened in this just by looking at those frames on video."

The Concerned Citizens for Justice will meet again next week at the City Council meeting at 6pm. The order will become final on October 9th.
