Flooding occured in several parts of Chattanooga Saturday.
Members of the East Brainerd Church spent the afternoon cleaning up more than an inch of water on their floors. Pastor Brian Squires says a couple of years ago they had a bad flood, so they put in tile and then carpet squares on top of it. They pulled the squares up, mopped, and put them back when they were dry.
Brian Squires, Pastor at East Brainerd Church said, "I actually live out in Ooltewah. I was real surprised to get a call this afternoon from one of my church members saying 'hey, there's water in the church.'" Pastor Squires says the flooding will not affect services.
The surrounding areas including an apartment complex off of East Brainerd Road were also affected.
