A truck fire tied up traffic on the Ridgecut Monday night.
A FedEx truck caught fire on I-24 eastbound around 7pm.
It happened at mile-marker 182-- near Seminole Road.
The Chattanooga Fire Department put the fire out.
One of the two trailers in the FedEx truck was full of ammunition at the time of the wreck.
     It was not affected.
TDOT closed the Eastbound lanes a little after 8:30pm.
Traffic was diverted to alternate routes.
But then one Eastbound lane was re-opened around 9:30pm.
Westbound traffic was also affected with the left lane blocked all evening.
TDOT now estimates the cleanup will be finished by 2:00am.
