(WDEF) A Soddy Daisy family proves "Scouts Honor" are indeed words to live by.
Family, friends and fellow scouts gathered Saturday evening to celebrate Dakin Barrott.
He earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Just like his six older brothers, brother-in-law, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Proud father Jim Barrott said, "Our seventh son becoming Eagle has been the most special because if you take a look at the very first son that received an Eagle that was very, very unique and special for us, but then as each boy became an Eagle Scout it became more special and then the last one it was like, 'Yes.  We got our seventh son finally completed his Eagle.'"
Dakin Barrott added, "There's four generations of us and I'm pretty proud of that.  And to be the last one in my family.  There's quite a bit of pressure, too."
Sout leaders and scoutmasters were also celebrated at Saturday night's Court of Honor in Hixson.
