(WDEF) An internal affairs investigation leads to the demotion of a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy.
The IA investigation revealed Sheriff's Deputy Justin Tabor engaged in inappropriate, off-duty conduct with juveniles.
Specifically, that Deputy Tabor provided alcohol to juveniles.
The kids' parents opted not to seek criminal charges against Deputy Tabor.
Deputy Tabor was suspended for 132 hours without pay and was placed on disciplinary probation for one year.
When he returns to work, Deputy Tabor will be reassigned to the Hamilton County Jail.

I think the editor should have re-worded or re-thought how he wrote that story. Becoming a Corrections' Officer is not a demotion. Maybe giving him something he may not like or can handle is the plan. In other words, hoping he will quit. Corrections Officers are Sworn Officers just like Patrol Officers. Different Training in different areas. Many Correction Officers prefer to be what they are rather than working in the hot/cold street. Patrol Officers prefer to work in the street instead of locked up with no place to hide. I see no reason that Correction Officer is less of a job. Channel 12 should be a bit more educated on how they write the story and what the story is about. You show me one Corrections Officer in Hamilton County (or any other county) that is or believes they are less a person or is less a job than a road cop and then I will stand corrected. I very much doubt that Hamilton County views the move as a demotion. If they stated a "Demotion" to the channel 12 news person, the channel 12 news person most obviously interviewed an unqualified person from Hamilton County or a complete idiot. That headline was very disappointing. Shame Shame
