Residents in Ringgold are still feeling the effects of the April 27th tornado.
A lot of people are still looking for clothes and basic household necesities. Thanks to an event called Harvest Hope some of their needs will be met. Dozens of churches got together Saturday and gave away gently used items. Items like Bibles, baby clothes, and toys. Organizers tell us more than four hundred people were lined up when they opened their doors. Janice Jurkovic, Harvest Hope Director said, "And truly our hearts desire is to show people that we care about them, and we feel like this is the time of the year to do that. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, Christmas, and this area has been hit real hard."
Health screenings were also given out Saturday free of charge.
