Christmas carols could be heard at the Hamilton County Courts Building this afternoon.

Middle School students from the Chattanooga School of the Liberal Arts and the Central High School choirs performed. The District Attorney General, Public Defender and the community gathered to listen to the holiday songs. Our very own Amy Katcher hosted the event. Choir Director Marty Massengale with the Chattanooga School of the Liberal Arts said his students were very excited to perform. Massengale said, "We have been working on this for a month or so, going caroling this afternoon to a retirement center after lunch. So that's why we did everything a capella today because its very difficult to take an orchestra or piano with you when you are going caroling."

Local schools have been performing at the courthouse now for 28 years.
