What better day than Election Day to honor the men and women who helped pay for our freedom.
That's exactly what Baptist International Mission did this morning.
The group handed out awards to four World War Two veterans.
Among them, a husband and wife team.
Dorothy Earnshaw is the first woman to be recognized by the group since it started celebrating World War Two Veterans last year.
She and her husband George met during the War while in the Navy.
Dorothy Earnshaw, "The Lord was with me the whole time because if he hadn't been there, I wouldn't have come out the way I did."
George Earnshaw, "I appreciate the time I've had in the service. I was the first one in my family other than my dad during world war one."
US. Army Staff Sergeant Don Womack and U.S. Army Corporal Joshua Kinsey also received awards today.
