CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) - Chattanooga police are looking for a man who was involved in an argument that led to a fatal shooting.

It happened on the 4000 block of Chandler Avenue just before 11:30 Friday night.

According to investigators, Christopher Jone, 24, died at the hospital after being shot multiple times.

WDEF talked to his uncle Jerry Hamler, who was called to the scene right after the shooting occurred.

"I came outside and my next door neighbor told me it was guy who stayed a couple houses down. I said well that's my nephew. I went down there to see him and he was laying in the street already dead," said Hamler.

Hamler also knows the alleged shooter.

"He stays right across the street. Yes I know him," Hamler said. Do you know anything about him? I know a lot about him but look here, I'm not about to go into that right now. You feel me," said the uncle.

It was reported to detectives that Jones was arguing with the Santory Johnson,35, when Johnson shot him.

There are warrants for Johnson's arrest, but he has not been located. Once captured, he will face charges that include: First Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

WDEF did some investigating into Johnson's past and his criminal history appeared to be very extensive with violent crimes.

Back on May 31st, he was arrested for assault, robbery and coercion of a witness. Back on February the 3rd he was arrested for domestic assault. In 2000 he was arrested on two counts of attempted first degree murder and in 1999 he was arrested for inciting a riot.
