Local business leaders are speaking out against internet businesses that don't have to collect sales taxes.
The group unveiled a new study showing just how important it is to fix that problem.
The Marketplace Fairness Act would require online and catalog retailers to collect sales taxes.
Those types of businesses would have to collect the taxes, regardless of where they are located.
The Marketplace Fairness Act has passed the U.S. Senate.
It faces a fight in the House.
