Some overcast weather didn't stop local pet owners from taking their doggies for a dip at Warner Park this afternoon.
The McKamey Animal Center held their annual "Doggie Paddle" fundraiser, as several pooches took the plunge with their owners. Some of the dogs were a little hesitant to dive right in, while others took to the pool like ducks on water.
The Center used the event to raise money for various pet related services.
"The funds that we are raising today will go towards helping take care of the dogs and cats we have in our care. Feeding them, Medical treatment, then also going towards adoptions, just all the great stuff that we do at McKamey Animal Center, says Anna Baker, the volunteer coordinator.
It's the 5th year in a row that McKamey has held the doggie paddle event.
