72 people were signed up for The Weekend Warrior Mud Run scheduled for this past Sunday at Hidden Hills Ranch.
Tara Hill agreed with the event organizer to let them use her farm for the run.
"They came out.  We talked about the ideas and it sounded simple.  It sounded like it would work," said Hill.
But days before the run, organizer Heather Penny came out a second time, and then, she cancelled it.
Penny refused to do an interview with us...but told us by phone she cancelled because several factors on the farm.
The grass wasn't mowed on the course and they didn't have bathroom facilities.
While Hills says she was never told she had to provide those services.
Penny also says she contacted all of the runners to inform them of the cancellation.
She also offered them admission to their next race event.
However, the email to the participants never mentioned a refund.
Runners like Melissa Bennett say their only concern is getting their money back.
"I would really like to get my money back from her but I've not been able to get in touch with her.  She's not responding to my questions about a refund so I don't know what's going on with that," Bennett said.

Since we spoke with Penny, she posted on her Facebook page that she would refund anyone who sends a request to her email:
She said she also emailed participants again to let them know about the refunds which will be sent in check form.
