Saturday was National Cupcake Day!
WDEF made a stop at GiGi's Cupcakes in Hixson. In honor of the so called holiday, the store partnered up with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. Everyone that dropped off can goods got a free cupcake. One little girl we spoke with says what she likes more than her peppermint cupcake is giving back to her community. Emileigh Brown, Cupcake Lover said, "We donated canned vegetables because it goes to needy people. Other people don't have a lot of stuff, some people can't afford like food and stuff."
Now, if you want to still donate canned goods just contact the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
