(WDEF) A suspect in a car burglary on Fulbright Road who fled when approached by Cleveland Police officers is facing new charges related to a similar theft that is under investigation by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher M. Stringer, who is 21 years old, was arrested as part of an investigation by the Cleveland Police Department. Their investigation also turned up items taken out of a vehicle on Caperton Drive, an active investigation by the BCSO.

City police charged Stringer with multiple counts of theft, two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle and numerous traffic offenses. On Wednesday BCSO detectives added new charges of burglary of an auto and theft.

Stringer has been held in the Bradley County jail since his arrest by the CPD.
