A Chattanooga Police officer gets relieved of duty.
Investigators say Officer Steve Jones was under the influence of alcohol, while on duty at Riverbend.
Officials say it happened Saturday night as Jones was riding a police motorcycle.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will be checking his blood alcohol content.
Jones is a 25 year veteran with Chattanooga police.
The Internal Affairs department is also looking into how the preliminary investigation was handled.
