The fear these animals would no longer have a home struck the owners of the Pet Care Warehouse hard.
The frightening news no business owner wants to hear.

"By noon Thursday or they were going to put a lock on the door," says owner Sharon Moss.

Taxes were due and there was no way to pay.
This 19 year old local family business was set to close.

"Got on Facebook and it just went everywhere and the way the people have responded has just been so humbling. It's just unbelievable," says Moss.

Sharon Moss says the once prominent pet business went down hill a few years ago when this road was under construction.
That coupled with a bad economy sheds light on the hard times.
But, despite all that there's something this company didn't lose.

"Some people want to shop some place where they see the same faces all the time and those people will talk to them and help them. Pretty soon they become their friends they trust you and that sort of thing and that's something you don't always get when you work in a bigger chain," says Sean Moss.

Now, the cards are being swiped and the phones are ringing.
And it looks like there will be another day in business.

"It feels like we're being rediscovered so I mean, like I said, I'm overwhelmed," says Moss.

All thanks to a simple post on Facebook.

"they've just been wonderful, I can't say enough good about them."

The family says they hope to enjoy another 19 years of business.
